It depends on what species of jerk he is. A lot of guys are just normal guy jerks - forgetful, a tad self-centered, sometimes a bit of a knuckle-dragger - but they have hearts of gold, are responsible, love and care about you and are just really loveable. Other guys are macho, narcissitic, demanding, spoiled know-it-alls who expect you to put their needs and wants always before your own and never concern themselves much with you and what you need or want. At first, these guys are exciting but, believe me, the excitement gets a little old after a year or two of being treated like a worthless nothing while they strut and preen with you walking behind them, always in their shadow and taken for granted.



Love isn't a one-way street. If you're not getting any love in return, you're just feeding someone's big ego...and someday you're going to realize that you've run out of love, that he's drained you dry.

Ask the question this way: What is it about a jerk that is "loveable?" If it's just good looks, for example, then it isn't love, but only lust.



There are thousands, if not tens of thousands of battered women that will not leave their abusive mates because of what they think is "love." Anyone OUTSIDE of those relationships recognize an unhealty mental state when they see it. Of course, from the inside, it "feels" quite different.

You can love someone and he can still be not good enough for you! You deserve a person who will treat you with respect and love you for who you are! If he is a jerk to you then he really isn't that into you!. Go out and buy the book " He really is not that into you" and see what I mean!. If he is into you he would bend over backwards for you and treat you like a queen!!
